Writing the post can take between 60 and 90 minutes, then another hour or so to find images, reference them, add tags and publicise the post on Facebook and Twitter. I try to do this at least once a week.

I also keep a diary (although less so these days) - but it's not the kind of thing I would share online. Some people use blogs in this way, but my blog is only occasionally personal. The only thing I would say is be careful how much you expose your life online :-)

Hope this advice helps!Mauk Donnabhainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16838569443637130748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8403910778753284413.post-28979677449577207612013-09-17T03:14:49.702+01:002013-09-17T03:14:49.702+01:00Hi there! I was first enlightened about Cromwell and his roundheads thanks to "Tabacco Island", a song by the group Flogging Molly. In America, we pride ourselves on being a land of immigrants, but forgotten to our text books is how those who came here were not welcome with open arms, and in fact the Irish, in particular, were demonized by the Anglo-Protestant groups that ran the country. We Irish have been considered a second class race for most of our history, and yet have contributed so much to the world, including the building of much of it, albeit as endentured servants. Not that this experience is isolated to the Irish. Sadly several ethnic groups were (and often still are) treated as inferior.

Sorry for the rant. Often these female symbols (like Boudicca in England) represent the end of paganism and a suppression of the female deity.
